Local Sights
Ravenscar has some interesting country walks and trails.
The National Trust Coastal Centre features exhibits depicting local history, wildlife and geology.
The industrial remains of the Alum Works lie just North of Ravenscar is a National Trust site which is open to visitors all year, two further National Trust sites can be found between here and the coast.
The 3 mile long Ravenscar Trail enables you to discover the geology and local history of this beautiful stretch of Heritage Coast.

Late in the 19th century, plans to develop Ravenscar as a major holiday resort failed, when the development company became bankrupt.
