Events taking place during June include:

• 9th June: Northumbrian Pipers Playing at 'The Board' in Lealholm. Some of the finest players in the country will be playing their brand of folk music in the evening.
• 10th June: Northumbrian Pipers Playing at 'The Cleveland' in Commondale. Having entertained in Lealholm the previous night the musicians move on up to Commondale for another evening of folk music.
• 9th - 10th June: Festival of 60's Music, Whitby
• 10th June: Age Concern Health and Advice Day: Castleton Village Hall from 10:00am till 2:00pm. Various stalls, healthy living, Health Checks, A/C insurance, plus information and advice, complimentary therapies, hobbies and interests, tombola etc.
• 12th - 18th June: Scalby Fair
• 17th June: Book Launch - "Bilberry Pie" by members of the Egton Bridge Writers group at Egton Village Hall during a coffee morning where other local arts and crafts will be on display. The book, the first foray into publishing for the women, contains short stories, poetry and non-fiction pieces, many with moorland and coastal themes, and is attractively illustrated.
