• 2nd - 4th May: Whitby Moor and Coast Festival
  Whitby Various Venues around the Town
  Festival of traditional music, song, dance and arts.
• Saturday 3rd May: The Dalesmen Singers
  The Dalesmen will be welcoming The Shiney Row Male Voice Choir for a concert in Danby Methodist Church at 7pm.
• Bank Holiday Monday May 5th: The Dalesmen Singers
  The Dalesmen Singers will be giving a concert at the Moors Centre at 2-30pm.
• Bank Holiday Sunday 4th May: Craft Fair in Danby Village Hall
  The fairs will include a wide variety of crafts: pyrography, knitwear, greeting cards, woodcraft, folk art, embroidery, jewellery, magnetic healing bracelets, home-made preserves & relishes, original artwork, silk flower arrangements, willow weaving, etc. All goods are hand-crafted by the stallholders.
  The fair runs from 10 am to 4 pm, there is free admission, however any donations will benefit local charities.
• Bank Holiday Monday May 5th: Antique and Collectors Fair in Danby Village Hall
  The fair will be open from 10am till 4pm.
  An admission charge of 50p is donated to a local charity and Cleveland Search and Rescue has been nominated for this event. Stalls are selling a wide variety of items including china, linen, books, jewellery, paintings and general collectables. Refreshments are provided by members and supporters of Cleveland Scouts. Car parking is free.
  In 2007 £615 was donared to local charities which included The Katie Trust, Great North Air Ambulance Service, Take Heart and Esk Valley Lifeline.
• 9th - 11th May: Ironstone Line Dance Weekend
• 16th - 18th May: Gospel Music Convention
