  • Saturday 19th April: Dalesmen Singers
    Dalesmen Singers Concert in Skelton Methodist Church at 7-30pm.
  • 19th - 20th April: 1940's Festival, Whitby
  • Friday 25th - Saturday 26th April: Gothic Weekend, Whitby
  • Saturday 26th April 19:30: Music in the Basement - The Robinson Institute, Glaisdale

    Due to the success of the first Music in the Basement a new project managed by Mark Atkinson and Sally Ann Smith in October 2007. Music in the Basement is back.
    The project came about due to limited venues for professional and non-professional musicians to play locally.
    Mark and Sally started work on a new project for musicians to showcase their work. Using a stage set and musicians who will appeal to all genres and ages, this project is for anyone interested in music of all kinds. This second show will include White Vinyl at rock band from from Whitby, TWO (country) all girl duo. The Committee a 5 piece young rock band from Glaisdale back by popular demand, Graham Brotton from Chopgate excellent guitarist, jon Horne a fantastic solo artist who writes his own material and Mark and Sally known as Fragile who have now been joined by a bass player and drummer.

  • Wednesday 30th April: The Downe Arms in Castleton.
    Brand new acoustic night - Free Admission.
    Brother Crow Poster Festival on the Moor's new Acoustic Roots monthly gigs start on Wednesday, 30th April at 8pm. First up is Brother Crow - half way between Durham and Detroit and with smooth acoustic arrangements and strong vocals, they'll appeal to many. Also on the First Night Bill is Anna Shannon from Scarborough. Anna is a Festival favourite since not only winning, but also being Runner-Up, in the Klondike Song Competition in May 2007!! Beautifully written songs, powerfully presented.
