Cowbar

Situated high on the cliff overlooking Staithes Harbour Cowbar is reached by taking a narrow road off the A174.

A view of Cowbar taken from Boulby

Cowbar is a small part of what appears to be one large community with only the main road and Staithes Beck acting as dividing lines between Cowbar, Dalehouse, and Staithes.
The sheer cliffs and rock pools below on Cowbar nab are often photographed and explored, (lookout for fossils), but be aware of the dangers of cliff falls.
A walk over the foot bridge to Staithes will be worth the effort.
The prefix of the Post Code for Cowbar is TS13-.
