Local Sights
Beck Hole is surrounded by many ancient remains.
Beck Hole is a charming little community hidden in the valley below Goathland. It is worthwhile taking time to walk to nearby Thomason Foss Waterfall. Disused pits, quarries and ancient field systems dot the nearby Cass Hill. The course of a Roman Road through Combs Wood, further disused quarries and evidence of ancient field systems can be found near Castle Hill.
